The object of this exercise is to assist churches toward missional success. We recognize that each local church has a unique context and calling. We want to develop a tool that honors that while seeking to look for Biblical and Spirit-revealed features of participation in a movement of God. In our discernment process, we have found that the foundational features of Holy Spirit fueled movements are:
#1
Articulate the Discipleship Pathway in your context
#2
Corporately-based breakthrough prayer movement
Using these processes, our goal is to:
Participate in a Spirit-fueled movement with a community of Disciples, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to carry out the Great Commission through the Great Commandment.
Below are the definitions of terms that will inform the survey. Please read through them prior to completing the form located at the bottom of this page. You can also download this document.
Breakthrough
is a movement of God’s Spirit to literally break through anything that holds us captive or restricts our ability to be conduits of God’s presence, power, and purposes right now and in the future.
Matt 22:37-39
A disciple of Jesus

Great Commission
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matt 28:19-20
Great Commandment
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
Matt 22:36-39
Breakthrough Prayer
“Prayer isn’t only about speaking but also about listening, not only about asking but also about yielding, not only meditation but also praise, not only a practice but also a mystery, not only a devotion but also a ministry.”
Justo Gonzales in Teach Us How To Pray
“Its completely releasing the assumption that God’s supernatural, all-encompassing transformational love should only manifest the way you want it to, when your request that it should. Its instead surrendering to the profound, game-changing reality that God’s all-loving response to your prayers will be in accordance to a far greater miraculous hand, fueled with redemptive intention beyond what you could ask, think or imagine.”
